Welcome to the unofficial but real LAPTI website. LAPTI is a small group of researchers and students at the School of Biochemistry and Cell Biology at the University College Cork in Ireland who are interested in the nature of certain extraordinary phenomena that take place during gene expression, see research page for more detail or our publications for even more detail. We extensively utilize computational and wet-lab approaches in our research.

LAPTI research is supported by SFI-HRB-Wellcome Research Partnership. Some individual researchers recieve support from Irish Research Council. LAPTI networking activities are supported by COST action EPITRAN. LAPTI also participates in CHASSY consortium supported by the EU H2020 programme and hosts PhD students from SFI CRT in Genomics Data Sciences.
